The Feast of Saint Agatha is already listed in the Register of Intangible Heritage of the Sicilian Region, in the Book of Celebrations, Festivals and Ritual Practices, approved on 13 June 2017.
The listing is an important basis for the candidacy path, but also a starting point
Intangible heritage lives in people. We open the application to the community’s voices - citizens, devotees, scholars, Catanese abroad, visitors - to show that the Feast is cross-cutting, universal and able to speak to the world.
